We will visit several art venues in Omaha to explore photography as an art form.

• The group will begin at the world class Joslyn Art Museum where we will explore the works of the classical masters, like Rembrandt, Degas, El Greco and how they relate to photographic art. We’re hoping that the Joslyn curator will be able to share some of the rare photographs in their permanent collection, including the work of Nebraska photographer, Wright Morris. 
• Next, we will head to the Durham Museum, another Art Deco gem, and meet with the Kristen Rowley, the collections manager responsible for the museum’s extensive photography archives. Kristin will also display the collection of Donald Jack photographs. Donald Jack was one of the founding members of PPofN. 
• The tour will end with visits to  Gallery 1516 to further explore photography as an art form.
